ROMD’s team has more than 30 years experience in marketing, design, programming, sales and management. In addition to this experience, our team has been formally educated in business, programming and design with team members earning degrees ranging from a BA in Design, BA Computer Information Systems, BA in Sociology, BA in Political Science, Diploma in Radio & Television Journalism, and a Master of Business Administration.
PETER HAGGARTY, MBA
President

As President of ROMD | Marketing & Design, Peter is responsible for spearheading the strategic business and marketing direction for ROMD, its divisions and its clients. Peter has earned a strong marketing and business background through his formal education in journalism and business, and his experience in the packaged goods and food service industry.

Peter has been the Director of Sales & Marketing, Shaftebury Brewing Company Ltd., Director of Marketing, Cactus Restaurants, and he has worked in new market development in the packaged goods industry successfully establishing distribution and brokerage networks across Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Peter previously consulted for the Jim Pattison Trade Group.

Peter was responsible for working with the executive team of the Elephant & Castle Restaurant chain in its rebranding process that resulted in a new logo, website, marketing materials, a 10% increase in sales and ultimately a $26 million buyout. Peter has been responsible for clients that have included the Grey Cup Festival 2009 and 2011, University of British Columbia iSchool, Verrus, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, Koffman Kalef LLB, City of London, Liquid Light, H2Scan, Grande West Transportation, Cantech Inspections, Axine Water Technologies, Dynamic Energy Solutions, Nons Drinks, and more.

Peter earned his Political Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, his diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Fanshawe College, and his MBA from Western Washington University. Peter also worked for the U.S. Small Business Development Center in Russia consulting and lecturing on international business at Krasnoyarsk State University while working with Coca Cola, a Pepsi bottler, and he was a contributor to a local Business News Program in Krasnoyarsk.

Peter's track record in building successful branding strategies, launching new products, and repositioning existing brands is exceptional.

 

JONATHAN PENSA, BA design, Honours BA Sociology/Psychology
VP/Creative Director

As Vice President in charge of Creative at ROMD | Marketing & Design, Jonathan is responsible for leading the creative direction for ROMD, its divisions and its clients. Jonathan has a strong background in traditional design that has earned him an impressive reputation as a respected Vancouver based designer finding success throughout a variety of mediums from print, to packaging, to the web.

Jon was responsible for the design of the new logo and associated marketing materials for the Elephant & Castle Restaurant chain in its rebranding process that resulted in a 10% increase in sales and ultimately a $26 million buyout. Jon has been responsible for many well recognized corporate identities, package designs, and websites for clients like Walmart, Costco, Kroger, Relic Entertainment, iValet Parking Systems, Grey Cup Festival 2009 and 2011, University of British Columbia iSchool, Verrus, Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital, Koffman Kalef LLB, Prosperity for London, Liquid Light, H2Scan, Grande West Transportation, Cantech Inspections, Axine Water Technologies, Dynamic Energy Solutions, Nons Drinks, Better Living Spaces, and more.

After receiving his degree from the University of Western Ontario, Jonathan embarked on his formal training in traditional and interactive design at the prestigious Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. Jonathan quickly advanced through the ranks of Vancouver's design community dating back to 1995 as Art Director of Virtech Communications.
